Original artwork
All judged paintings must be original works, not produced under the direction of an instructor or a copy of another’s work, and completed within the last two years. Miniatures may have been in the shows before, and may be more than two years old.

Fees
Fees: $6 per painting to be judged; $3 per miniature. All paintings are to be for sale. A commission of 30% will be collected on sales (20% to EDAC, 10% to SPS). If you are not a member, you will be able to join when delivering your paintings (the membership fee is $25). Check with the show chair if you have questions.

Awards
The value of awards is based on the number of entries in the show. Cash prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third in each category and for Best of Show. A ribbon will be awarded for the People’s Choice Award. Ribbons are also given for Honorable Mention in all categories, at the discretion of the judge. There will be no more than two awards per artist for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.

Digital images
We recommend you take high quality digital photos of your paintings before you frame them. If you win first prize, or Best of Show, your photo may be included in the SPS section of the International Association of Pastel Societies or in the SPS website home page.

The membership show is a volunteer event.
Please support your fellow member artists by signing up to volunteer when you drop off your paintings. We depend upon on every member to volunteer their support and make the show a success.
